Questions before you reach out
The things most prospective clients ask us before booking a call.
We're a small team: is this overkill for a business our size?
No. Smaller businesses are targeted precisely because attackers assume less is in place. We scope engagements to your actual size and risk: a 12-person brokerage doesn't get a 200-person audit.
What's the Essential Eight, and does my business actually need it?
It's the Australian Cyber Security Centre's baseline set of mitigation strategies: patching, backups, access control, and more. It's mandatory for some Commonwealth entities, but most SMBs adopt it voluntarily because it's a solid, well-understood standard. If you handle client financial data, insurers and larger partners increasingly expect it.
How long does a security audit take?
For a typical 20–100 person business, two to three weeks from kickoff to a delivered roadmap, most of that is us working, not waiting on you. We scope the exact timeline on the discovery call once we know your systems.
Do you work with businesses outside the major cities?
Yes, we work Australia-wide. Engagements are largely remote by design, with on-site visits arranged when a project genuinely needs them.
What happens after the audit: do we just get a report?
You get a prioritised, plain-English roadmap either way. Most clients then have us handle the remediation and stay on for ongoing support, but the roadmap is yours to action however you choose.
